  1. Silhouette: Why won't Cutting Master 2 install on a Mac?

    Installing Cutting Master 2 (v 1.5) from the CD-ROM that comes with the Silhouette is problematic on Mac computers that run Adobe Illustrator CS4. Use the following link to download version 1.6 of Cutting Master 2. This version correctly installs on Mac computers that are running Adobe Illustrator CS4.

  2. Silhouette: What do I do when the Silhouette "spits out" my printed design without cutting?

    It is likely that your printer automatically created a border around your design. This causes problems because the printed design does not match the design that you are sending from your computer. To fix this problem, you need to make sure that your printer is set to "borderless printing" in the printing options dialog box.

    If you are using a Canon iP4600 or iP4700, follow these steps:
    1. Go to File and then Print.
    2. Click on the Setup button in the lower left corner of the screen.
    3. Click on Preferences.
    4. Click on the Page Setup tab.
    5. Check the box next to Borderless Printing.
    6. Click OK and then press the Print button.

  3. Silhouette: What do I do when I receive a "read port error" after sending a file to the Silhouette?

    It is likely that the Cutting Master 2 software forgot the Silhouette model that you are using. To fix this, follow these steps:
    1. Open Cutting Master 2
    2. Go to Setup and then Change Setup.
    3. Choose your Silhouette model and then click Next.
    4. Click Next again.
    5. Click OK.
